Donations Instead of Christmas Gifts

Christmas is the season of giving – and this year, once again, we have decided not to distribute Christmas gifts. Instead, we are supporting two organizations with donations to help make the world a little better through their dedication and commitment.

We have donated €1,000 each to Tafel Wetzlar and EinDollarBrille e.V., two organizations we supported last year as well. We are delighted to contribute once more to their essential work.

Tafel Wetzlar: Food for People in Need

Tafel Wetzlar supports over 3,000 people affected by poverty by providing food, among other services. With just €5, a food basket can be filled. This work is indispensable, especially in the face of increasing challenges. Our donation is intended to help ensure that many people continue to receive basic supplies in the coming months. EinDollarBrille e.V.: Access to Basic Vision Care Worldwide

As experts in plastic optics, we have a particular interest in supporting the work of EinDollarBrille e.V.. This organization is committed to providing people around the world with access to basic vision care – with impressive results:

• Over 2.2 million eye exams have been conducted.
• Approximately 800,000 people have received glasses.
• More than 9,100 cataract surgeries have been facilitated.
• Over 530 local jobs have been created, strengthening regional structures in the long term.

At this point, we want to extend our gratitude not only to these organizations but also to everyone involved in nonprofit projects – volunteers, employees, and supporters who often work tirelessly and selflessly.
